If you are a trainer or a coach, or a consultant, then this is the best time in the human history to launch your online training business.
I've been training since 2007, and the biggest thing I learned about training is it is not scalable if you are just an individual, i.e., if you don't have a team.
And if you don't have plans to create a team then... the best way to increase your income, teach the world, and make an impact is to GO ONLINE.
And it has been a fantastic journey for me in the world of the online programs.
You see, I started online training business in October 2016, and since then I have created 15 online programs and most of them are best-selling and generating revenue for me on a daily basis.
In the short span of time, I've got a privilege to educate more than 43K students in over 176 countries and all through online programs.
And the best part for me, I don't train those courses offline anymore.
My programs are all online and automated with my very little or no involvement.
And at the same time, I can do the things which are essential for me to grow. That is to work on my other businesses, create more online programs, and help people launch and automate their online training business.
So, what are some of the common challenges most of the trainers, consultants, coaches and experts face in launching their online training business?
In this short report, you are going to learn seven deadly mistakes that every trainer, coach or consultant should avoid and at the same time I will give you tips to quickly create your first awesome online program quickly.
Are you ready? Let's jump in.
So let's start with the first myth.
#1 My Online Program Should Be 10 or 20 Hours Long
One of the most prominent myth people have when creating an online program is: they should have a massive program.
The online program should be at least 10 to 20 hours long for it to sell or to help people.
But in reality, it is not true. It is a myth.
Your focus should NOT be on the number of hours of content. It should focus on a Specific Outcome that your audience will get after attending your online program.
I want you to ask these questions to yourself:
#1 Are you solving any specific problem with the short online program?
#2 Are you adding any valuable skill that a person needs to progress in their career or life?
#3 Are you helping people achieve their target with your valuable online program?
And if you focus on delivering a specific outcome, then it doesn't matter, if your online program is 20 hours long or just 30 minutes.
So if you are just starting out, then I would highly recommend you to create your first online program of duration about 30 to 45 minutes.
#2 I Must Be An Expert
Another thing that stops trainers, consultants, and coaches from creating an online program is: they must be an expert, not just an expert but a top expert in their niche or the industry.
You don't need to be the top expert in your niche or industry.
In fact, you are already an expert, and you are eligible to teach people.
So, if your customers get value from your online program, that means you are an expert.
You need to teach people who don't know anything about your subject and they are interested, or they have less knowledge than you.
That's it, and you are already an expert.
#3 I Need A Ton Of Experience
You don't need a ton of experience in creating an online program.
In fact, there are no eligibility criteria for launching an online program.
All you need is some experience.
It doesn't matter if you have one month of experience or 6 months of experience or 9 months of experience.
If you have some experience, then you are eligible to teach and create an online program.
Don't let this stop you from sharing your knowledge with the world!
#4 I Need To Create A Perfect Training Program
Did you know about the #1 Killer of Progress & Result? It's the "Need to be Perfect."
The "Need to be Perfect" kills all the creativity, progress, and results.
You see, nothing in this world is perfect.
Let's take an example of iPhone.
Was the first iPhone perfect? Of course not. How do I know?
Apple has launched new versions :)
And do you think the latest version of the iPhone is perfect?
Of course not because there will be enhancements.
And I want you to think about anything in this world and ask yourself a question.
Is this perfect? (it means there's no room for improvement or enhancement)
I am sure you will get the answer as NO.
So, when nothing is perfect in this world why do you want to create an ideal online training program?
All you need to do is create the first version and launch.
Then collect feedback from your students and clients. Make enhancements and relaunch.
So, if you are stuck in the perfection zone, then I would highly recommend you to get out of it as soon as possible. The moment you let go of perfection, you will make progress.
And does that mean you will not face any challenges? of course NOT.
You will face challenges for sure, and all you need is to overcome those obstacles, make progress and help people around the world.
Understand this. Perfection is a Myth; Progress is the Truth.
So make Progress.
#5 My Online Program Must Have All The New Information
You know the difference between an inventor and an innovator?
Inventor creates some wholly new, but the Innovator improves things, and that gets fast results.
Innovation gets quick results for you and your clients.
Of course, you can be an inventor to create new stuff, but whatever you have already established or built, you just need to package it into an online training program.
If online programs are already available similar to your topic, you don't need to worry about your uniqueness. Because you have a unique thing and that's your experience.
So, your online program content will be unique as you will add your experience to it.
#6 There's Too Much Competition
Of course, you will find a lot of online programs that are relevant to your niche or your field.
That's a genuine reason for not getting started. There's a widespread perception, why should I create an online program on the same topic again?
I was in the same situation. I wanted to create my first online program related to a technology called Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
I thought, it is a Microsoft's product, and they have a free course as well, why should I create my online program on the same topic? Why would people learn from me?
In fact, there are thousands of people who want to learn from you because your experience is different than everybody else.
So how you perceive things, how you teach, explain things is entirely different from others.
The fact is even if the similar online programs are available, you need to create your online program, and you just need to innovate and add your experience.
That's how I got results.
The course which I was hesitant to launch, now has more than 30K students in over 170 countries with more than 3,500 reviews, which I never imagine I would have (and it's almost 1500% more than Microsoft's online program).
There are always thousands of people who want to learn from you so they can get rid off the pain, the problems, and achieve their desired results.
So don't worry about the competition. Just get started.
#7 If I Teach This, What Will I Teach Next?
Ok, one of the things that stop trainers from creating their first online program or any program is:
If I create an online program on my topic, what will be the next topic I am going to teach?
In other words, "I would like to keep my best for the last." But, when is your last? No body knows!
And this is the same mindset I had when I wanted to create my first online program.
Once I launched my online technology mastery program, my current students started asking for new courses. I said, WOW. I don't have to think. They will tell me what they want.
I know people want to learn and grow. So, your existing clients will tell you what they want.
If they enjoy your online program, they are going to tell you, "Hey, I need this information as well, can you teach, or do you teach?"
There you will get the idea for your next online programs.
Like, once I launched my technology program, the next step is to create certification programs because a lot of people were asking for it.
Also, in this process, I learned a lot of things. I learned to automate entire online training program right from marketing to sales to operations and support.
So, a lot of people who want to launch or automate their training business, they started contacting me: "Hey Abhay, can you teach us what you did for yourself?" I said,"Sure.", and then a new online program was created.
You never know what you're going to teach next until you launch your first one.
Once you have launched your first program, the next step it automation for profit...
How I Automated My Online Training Business?
I'm sure; the automation sounds interesting.
You can make money on auto-pilot without training actively.
To be honest, it was not easy when I started.
Faced a lot of challenges, invested thousands of dollars learning from experts, buying expensive (useless) software, learning different strategies and keep trying new things every single day.
Had a lot of failures but I didn't give up!
After a lot of trial and error, testing different strategies, finally, I was able to automate the entire online training business.
And I've given it a name "High-Growth Training Automation model."
It's a 3-Phase Process:
#1 Foundation: In this phase, we build an entire online training business Sales Funnel, a solid foundation to generate highly qualified free leads and get your first online program live and get 1000 students quickly!
#2 Nurture: In this phase, we build the most valuable asset in the online training business, i.e., an email list. And also we build a relationship with the audience, so they trust you and buy from you.
#3 Profit: In this phase, we build the main program (high ticket - based on your market & model), set up the sales process, launch your high-ticket program and get your first client. After testing the system, we automate the entire system for profit!
Like any business, it takes time.
But you can cut down all the unnecessary things (that don't work) and adopt only the steps that will give you results.
As I've already invested a lot of time and money in creating a system, you just need to plug in and start profiting.
Here’s The Bottom Line!
It's true that the fortune really is in the online training business & automation.
It doesn't mean the offline training or seminars are going away. We will continue to have them.
The only difference would be, the trainers, coaches, and consultants who adopt online training model and automation (along with their offline model) will grow tremendously, and there will be no one stopping them!
And this is the best time for you to adopt Online Training Business & Automation to help thousands of people around the world and grow your training business like never before.
If you want something like that.
